Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Masonry Block Estimator to join our growing team. If you have experience in construction estimating and a strong understanding of masonry/block work, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare quantitative surveys (take offs) for masonry block projects, often including stone veneer
• Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for masonry projects
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Preparing budgets/estimates with timelines for the work
• Maintain organized records of estimates and bids
• Prepare and coordinate handoff to the field Superintendent
• Work with Superintendent to oversee project through completion

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years’ experience in the Masonry CMU world
• Proven experience in masonry or construction estimating
• Strong knowledge of block, mortar, and related materials
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans
• Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as STACK or PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and time management skills
